Tylerdan is one of my best friends.  He lives in the East Village and has accompanied me on some of my EV/LES walking adventures over the summer.  We used to wander around, pop into little boutiques, meet new people on the street (or run into old friends), sit at the park and people watch or read, go to outdoor places for drinks, etc. and so forth.

I haven’t seen him so much these days, but I got a facebook message from him today saying this:

was listening to MGMT and it reminded me of the summer and how it was like the whole city was just a playground. it felt like everything was unpredictable and I liked it. now oh so much is oh so predictable. I miss that. if you get to feel that every day, I understand why you kick it how you do.”

Things haven’t gotten oh so predictable for me.  And I hope that it never does… because it’s the adventures and the unpredictability that makes my life so interesting.
