Thanks to the recession I had toyed with the idea of moving back to my home town- close to Atlantic City, I could easily live down here and do Event Coordinating at one of the many casinos around (as per my father’s suggestion).

After the events of the last couple of days, and being at my parents’ for a few hours…I’ve come to the steadfast conclusion that I would rather die homeless and broke on the streets of NY than live down here.

I had planned on going home on Monday night, but was a bit too lazy…. and what I got was one of those epic nights that maybe I only find fun, but define my life NYC.

• A last minute invite to the Urb Magazine holiday party with the amazing Luna kicked it off.  Showed up with her expecting to not know anyone and then ending up running into DJ Morsy upon arrival, the Machinist brothers, Joey (Nick Hooks friend)… and then dancing all night with Luna to my new favorite live remix band Keys n Krates (seriously they BLEW MY MIND).
• A stop at Darkroom for their Monday weekly party with Ryan P. and his crew, Sass, Christina and Sass’s roommate.
• Obviously ended up going to Lit to say hello to my favorite people- some working, some just partying
• And then there was sort of a planetarium, hanging out with ‘Hot Brit’ and Christina until daylight listening to music in Williamsburg, gummi bears…

Yea… I somehow don’t think I would get any of that in Southern NJ.
