Mixed feelings on this with all of the memories at Rififi (primarily because of ‘Invite Them Up’ the comedy show I used to go to on Wednesdays with Sean and Trash! on Fridays). Also… Tokyo Joe, which was one of my favorite consignment shops, had to close next door because of this.
On the plus side… I’m with everyone on the fact that I no longer have to trek to Brooklyn when doing a clothing purge.
brooklyn clothing consignment chain buffalo exchange has decided to spread its wings and come to manhattan. located in an area already well-stocked with vintage shops, at 332 east 11th street between first and second avenue, it will be taking over the space of what used to be bar rififi.
