And so it’s Spring Cleaning time. While everyone is posting/sharing your typical useful yet mundane how-to’s on how to organize your home and closet, I thought maybe I should share my approach. And if you don’t believe that these are the steps I actually take, you can ask Jacob. I think he’s been driven to insanity for having to deal with watching or listening to that Style Network video whenever I want to “clean”.
1) Go on the internet to watch videos of closet tours and google photos of pretty closets.

(Confession: Ok so I still go on MySpace for their videos of closets and to look up band tour dates. Don’t judge.)

Pretty closets.
2) Put on some awesome tunes. As of late I’ve been rocking cleaning to Bamboo Shoots, Wallpaper, Bad Rabbits… oh and my tumbltape. If you didn’t already know from that cleaning video I posted.
3) Watch the episode of Clean House with Wendi Russo (then Winkler) circa 2004 that I taped from television on VHS. It’s a really great closet organization motivator.

4) Stare at the mess you have to work with… then I guess eventually start putting things on hangers, folding, and organizing by style if you don’t get distracted enough by the videos, photos of pretty closets, awesome tunes, and watching old school Style Network.

Ok no, but wait guys… I’m actually going to clean today.
