Entropy-“measure of the unavailability of a sytem’s energy to do work”. (via)

Entropy, as I learned it, of going from a level of order to a level of disorder in a system.  Applied in thermodynamics, and applied in life- say a person lives their life in such a way that there is a level of order in it. And they meet someone that creates this “spontaneous change” in the system.  I mean, the disorder that the spontaneous change can create is a little hard to handle… it’s disrupting the equilibrium. But that spontaneous change can also be the thing that will eventually smooth everything out and restore equilibrium.

is there always a net change where one system is expending more energy than another?

Scenario 1: with order and spontaneity, perhaps the order needs to be loosened up a little bit… and the spontaneous needs to be roped in… and when the two systems come together, one loosening up and one calming down… that’s getting to this true level of equilibrious calm… and of course this can happen on it’s own course with proximity… just going with the flow…

Scenario 2: the systems stay closed and don’t interact at all.
