This article is pretty on target, at least for me and most of my friends. We all have our jobs in fashion, media, etc., but starting salaries and the ny cost of living forces us to finesse our checks in order to maintain our social lives. Every time people ask me where I live and I tell them Nolita, they always ask me how I “swing that”. And my response is… it’s like a small closet. I live in a closet. I use my apartment to sleep and house my clothing. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything right now because I LOVE the area…and serves well for my lifestyle.
