Reliving My Childhood… also titled My Fashion Throwback I can’t help but notice how I dress the same way today as I did when I was a kid.  The oversized shirts, leggings, boots, flannel shirts.  My 5th grade ‘uniform’ was a black leotard, purple denim shorts, black tights, patent leather boots, and a fuchsia vest with a matching fuchsia beret (I have the school picture to prove it)… and I would totally wear that tomorrow.  90’s fashion has made a full on come back… probably because those who are currently dictating the trends (designers, it girls, magazines like Nylon, etc.) grew up in that era and are reliving their childhoods through their designs and editorial concepts. I especially relive this time when I’m at my parents house for the holidays… when I browse through the bookshelves and pull out old copies of Sweet Valley Twins and The Babysitters Club books. This cover of The Unicorn Club (a Sweet Valley spin off), is the perfect example.  Um, hello Lila Fowler and those awesome purple leggings… and Evie with that oversized men’s shirt and the black tights?
