How did I not know about this? 100 Days of Disco is a collective internet project (on Tumblr!) for good disco, italo, electro, early house and dance music. It is largely based in Chicago with additional contributors scattered throughout the country. What they say:
What’s the concept? Originally, after making mixtapes, DJing and enjoying music together, we thought about having a group blog. The idea was to share songs among 10 people, posting 10 songs each in a round - making a 100-day long celebration of disco.My next hour or so will be spent going through the archives. As a disco baby I fully endorse this tumblr. Seriously… because my parents grew up in the disco era, when I was a kid we had disco dance parties in our living room. I’d like to think that was the root to my love of dance parties.
