Liberty in London has Some Work Done (Style File... →
I love Liberty. I remember interviewing for a Visual Merchandising work experience thing as soon as I got to London… and fell in love with the department store. I didn’t get it, which is fine because I wasn’t a Visual Major anyway… and I ended up at Elle Girl UK and Sugar Magazine (ah my first taste of magazine promotions) which is what I wanted to do in the first place.

1. Can’t wait for the Bowery show.
2. I just texted Jason Reece a question literally seconds before I saw this link on my dashboard… that kind of weirded me out.
[edit. ok even weirder as I was just about to comment on whether the photo is old bc Danny is in the picture, I got a text from Danny… ]
Subject: Disco Down
[an email from deleteyourself]
“I just saw on my dashboard you were at Disco Down last night as well. That means you can explain to me why everyone was made up like they got the shit beat out of them. Is that a weekly thing, like everyone puts on makeup like they got punched in the head and then goes out dancing? Was a good time regardless!”

Carrie: You're never alone in NY. It's the perfect place to be single. The city is your date.
Miranda: You're dating the city?
Carrie: It's getting serious. I think I'm in love.

(via bbook)
I didn’t watch the Oscars… but I WAS at Lit for the 7th year anniversary (as if I wouldn’t be there anyway were there a party or not).
Needless to say… it was pretty epic.
… I’m leaving my recap at that. ;)
Fashion Evolution- My Style Diary from 2005 →
I came across my old StyleDiary that I kept in 2005. It made me think about the style evolutions that I have gone through. Prior to that style diary I was extremely girly- all skirts and dress and mainly wore lots of pink and lace.
In this diary I can see the beginning of the evolution. I was mainly in London at the time (and was still in fashion school) which started pushing a little more...

La Roux- In For The Kill
I’ve been slightly obsessed with this badass brit. Not only does she have a great voice but also flock of seagulls-ish red hair and amazing style. This video is great- for some reason despite the fact that I can’t drive, I love videos involving driving down a long road…maybe it’s an aspiration, ha. The leather fingerless gloves with the miniature...

Ronen: You drive right?
Me: I have a license and I guess I can drive technically… but I REALLY REALLY suck at it.
Ronen: I don’t drive at all.
Me: Ronen I drove my car into bushes…it was really bad.

The Bravery- Fearless
They’re on a boat! … or multiple speedboats anyway … rocking out
I’ve been listening to the Bravery all afternoon because Mat (Steel not Caps) and I talked about the tour they played together a few times last night. Then Tryant got stuck in my head. Whch led me to listen to the album today. I used to play this album on my way to and from work in...

1 Outfit. 3 Scenes. 4 Photographers. 8 Hours
February 10th from 4 PM to 12 PM… Running around with a snake around my neck… (vintage 70’s piece… I love it to death)
(possibly overgratuitous… i don’t think anyone would expect less from me… although it is kind of interesting to see how they all turned out a bit different)

joie de vivre (part I): LA Riots poisson rouge...
LA Riots DJ, Daniel Ledisko, spun at Le Poisson Rouge last night. I thought, who better to take out to Poisson Rouge for a dance party than a frenchman and a gay. So Greg and Trystan came with me to check out the set, where I ran into Kris… who I suppose had the same idea since she brought 2 boys as well, one of whom was also a frenchman.
We spent most of the night going back and forth...

Addendum to my last post.
As per ronen’s comment… I never actually made it to the afterparty even after getting invited. I did however end up going to the pub next to the party with a few of the snowboarders who shared the same sentiment as ronen regarding the crowdedness… and then to the loft after after party for the winner. There were no photos, no documentation… just emails and numbers...
